Reflections on Nepal Dialogue 2024

In early December last year, I had the privilege of being invited by IofC Nepal to participate in Nepal Dialogue 2024. This gathering was designed as a space for Nepalis to reflect on the kind of society they aspire to build and the responsibilities each citizen must embrace to shape their nation’s future.

A key focus of the dialogue was the idea that true transformation begins when individuals look inward—examining where they need to change, rather than pointing fingers at others.

I attended as a representative of IofC India, facilitating several sessions during the event. One of the highlights for me was leading a Zentangle workshop, where I emphasised the importance of focusing on the process rather than the outcome. In our journey of self-development and change, if we keep our process clean, intentional, and consistent, the results often shine beyond our expectations. This principle applies not only to art but to leadership, nation-building, and personal growth.

The setting of the event was breathtaking—nestled in a stunning location, with Tibet not too far away. Every morning, as I woke up to the sight of the majestic Himalayan snow mountains, I couldn’t help but feel a deep longing for my homeland. The view was a constant reminder of Tibet—so close, yet so far.

I am deeply grateful to IofC Nepal for extending this invitation and for creating such a meaningful space for dialogue, self-reflection, and creativity. This experience reaffirmed my belief in the power of inner transformation as the foundation for collective change.
